Pierre-Laurent Aimard is one of the most exceptional pianists of our time. Appointed by Pierre Boulez to the newly founded Ensemble intercontemporain when he was only 19 years old, he is regarded as an expert in modernist music and has long been closely engaged with Arnold Schönberg’s works. The French label Alpha is now releasing a long-awaited recording of Schönberg’s complete works for piano. The Arnold Schönberg Center invites you to the presentation of the new CD, during which Aimard performs and discusses the music of the Viennese master in conversation with director Ulrike Anton.
