Arnold SCHÖNBERG Streichquartett Nr. 1 d-Moll op. 7
Borys LYATOSHYNSKY Streichquartett Nr. 2 op. 4

Tickets € 18 | Free admission for persons under 26 years

Born twenty years after Arnold Schönberg, Borys Lyatoshynsky was one of Ukraine’s most important composers. With the performance of his Quartet, Maxim Brilinsky, who was born in Lviv, pays special tribute to his homeland, which has been suffering from aggression and war for four years. As a member of the Wiener Philharmoniker, he has assembled an ensemble especially for this concert that centers on Schönberg’s String Quartet No. 1, op. 7. Following a hidden program, expressive immediacy is combined with the demand for a contemporary musical language.

The concert will be streamed live on facebook and YouTube and will be available for seven days afterwards.
