The Ensemble Ionisation instrumentale views itself as an ensemble of soloists with alternating groups of instruments, and organizes a concert series of the same name at the Music and Arts University MUK Vienna. The core of the repertoire consists of standard New Music works, together with composers from Viennese Modernism and premieres of contemporary compositions primarily from the Vienna area. Different phases of history and aesthetic positions enter into a surprising and lively dialog.
