Syria and Egypt, Lebanon and Iran, but also Russia and Poland, Great Britain and Austria influence the lives, origins, and cultural background of the composers featured in this concert. Taking Schönberg’s String Trio, composed during his exile in the United States, as a starting point, the concert explores the boundaries between spirituality, ritual, and contemporary musical language, creating multi-layered interrelationships.
