The Cantus Ensemble has been a regular guest at the Arnold Schönberg Center since its founding in 2001. On the occasion of its 20th anniversary, it presents a concert in which, in addition to renowned composers of Croatian modernism, songs from Schönberg’s “Book of Hanging Gardens” are heard, which mark the beginning of free atonality, and Anton Webern’s Concerto op. 24, which links twelvetone scoring with the structures of a concerto in the tradition of Johann Sebastian Bach.
