The Schrammelmusik sounds from Schönberg’s Serenade op. 24, the sensual saxophone timbre of Webern’s op. 22, Zimmermann’s Trumpet Concerto and Coltrane’s free-jazz album Ascension have one thing in common: they allow us to cross bridges – a tradition of openness to which this concert evening, with three world premieres by Viola Falb, Tamara Friebel and Clemens Wenger as well as a new arrangement of Schönberg’s piano pieces opp. 33a and b, continues.
