Ludwig van BEETHOVEN Streichquartett cis-Moll op. 131

In celebration of Ludwig van Beethoven, the Minguet Quartet presents a program that is different from many other anniversary festivities, as it encourages contemplation. The last string quartet finished by Joseph Haydn is a cheerful, yet serene work that opens up many new sound spaces. In Beethoven’s op. 131 these are developed even further than his former teacher could have ever imagined. Anton Webern’s Bagatelles take this journey to the limits of what can be “said with notes alone.”
