The University of Texas at Austin (founded 1881) is the main campus of the University of Texas. In 1981, the Harry Ransom Humanities Research Center at the University acquired the Ross Russell papers. Ross Russell was the founder of Dial Records, which released six long-playing records of Schoenberg's music (1950-1951). See Journal of the Arnold Schoenberg Institute XII/1 (June 1989) pp. 68-90 for a description of the Russell-Schoenberg correspondence.
