Ruth Schleeter--wife of New Mexican painter Howard B. Schleeter (1903-1976). Howard painted 21 pictures (Aug.-Nov. 1944) corresponding to the melodrams of Schoenberg's Pierrot lunaire, op. 21 at the suggestion of Ruth Hannas (to whom the paintings are dedicated) of the University of New Mexico. The paintings were sold to individual collectors.
