Berry, Wallace T., 1928-

Wallace Berry – composer, theorist and teacher. He studied at the University of Southern California (Ph.D. 1956) and the Paris Conservatoire (1953-1954) with Nadia Boulanger. He taught at the University of Southern California (1956-1957), University of Michigan (1957-1977), and the University of British Columbia in Vancouver (from 1978). He was also president of the Society for Music Theory (1982-1985). He has written several books on composition. He owns the autograph manuscript of Reger's Romantische Suite, op. 125 as arranged for chamber ensemble by Arnold Schoenberg and Rudolf Kolisch.
